Norma Louise Mills

Norma Louise Mills, age 92 and lifelong resident of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord surrounded by family on January 10, 2025. She was born March 20, 1932 in Columbus, Ohio to Alphretta (Moss) and Ernest Holderby. She was the sister of the late Donna Holderby (Neeley). Norma was a graduate of South High School. It was there where she met her soulmate Martin (Marty) Mills. Married in 1952, Norma and Marty shared a life together spanning 55 years built on a foundation of faith, love, and respect with the utmost of devotion dedicated to one another and their family.

She was a cherished and beloved mother to Kimberly McWilliams (Tom) and Kathleen Ayers (Michael). Loving and adored grandmother to Joshua McWilliams, Jonathon McWilliams (Megan), Nathan McWilliams (Louetta), Sara Mast (Mitchell), Anna Cantrell (Bradley), Emily Rowe (Fiance Daniel Shiblaq) and nine great grandchildren. Treasured Aunt to Ron Mills (Lori), Suzanne Birk, Julie VanWinkle (Richard), Tim Mills (Shari), Karen Frank (Jerry), Steve Mills (Suzanne Landacre), Lynn Rufo (Neeley), Mike Neeley (Pam), Diane Duncan (Mark) and numerous great grand nieces and nephews. 

Norma had an exceptional and rewarding career working in various roles for the Worthington Public Library, W.A. Wicks Company and the Delta Gamma Executive Offices. In addition to her career, Norma dedicated countless hours volunteering in various church and community events throughout her lifetime

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, sister, husband, and brothers-in-law Jack Mills, Dick Mills, Bob Neeley, and sisters-in-law Jean Mills and Judy Mills. 

Friends are invited to join Norma’s family for her Celebration of Life on Wednesday, January 15th 11:00 a.m. at Maple Grove United Methodist Church 7 W Henderson Road, Columbus 43214. Visitation will take place at the church prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Care 360 Hospice or the Maple Grove United Methodist Church
