Norma Detro Garvin, age 87, May 26, 2015. Born November 21, 1927 in Bracken Co., KY to parents Herbert Lee and Lena Henson Feagan. Preceded in death by first husband Louis M. Detro and step-son Greg Garvin. Survived by beloved husband Frederick C. Garvin; daughters Andrea (John) Green and Mary (David) Lautzenheiser; step-son Robert (Rose) Garvin; step-daughter Janet (Denny) Hartman; grandchildren Sarah, Marc, Rachel, David, Laura and Luke; great-grandchildren Jonathan, Ryan, Steven, Allison, Levi, Benjamin, Ethan, Adam and Jackson; sister Ruth Ann Davis; brother Dana (Katherine) Feagan; several nieces and nephews. Former registrar for the Great Lakes Christian College. She led the ‘comfort bear’ ministry at Beechwold Christian Church where she was a longtime member. Norma enjoyed traveling, dinner theater and spending time with her family.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Great Lakes Christian College. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 pm at BEECHWOLD CHRISTIAN CHURCH, 280 Morse Rd, Columbus, OH  43214, where her funeral service will be held Friday, May 29, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Patrick Mauger and Rev. Darin Kleeman officiating. Interment and commital service will follow at Union Cemetery. Service provided by Shaw-Davis Funeral Homes, Clintonville Chapel.
