Nelson Robert Taylor III, beloved grandfather, father, brother, uncle and friend, passed away on September 27, 2024, at The OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. Born October 25th, 1968, in Columbus, Nelson grew up in Southfield and was a proud graduate of Marion Franklin High School and was known for his many skills, particularly in automotive work and maintenance. His hands were always busy, whether fixing a vehicle or helping friends and family. His deep love for cars, especially the Cadillac Seville is where his infamous nickname "SIVIO” came from.
A man of simple pleasures, cooking out, watching movies no matter the time or day and was always immersing himself in music. He enjoyed being around family and found peace and joy in fishing, spending countless days by the water with his brother Terry. He was a devoted Ohio State Football fan, cheering loudly every Saturday with his signature shout of "Buckeyes!" On Sundays, he would put his jersey on as he supported the Dallas Cowboys yelling out his well-known phrase "My Boys."
He is predeceased in death by Naza Blackburn (Mother) and Terry Blackburn (Brother) and survived by Stephanie Hill, the mother of his four children who was there in the beginning over 30 years ago and by his side when he took his last breath. His children: Tonya Reavish, Rob Taylor, Diamond Taylor, Elizabeth Devinney, Anthony Taylor, Adrion Taylor, Nigel Taylor, and Madisen Taylor. He also leaves behind beloved nieces Tahnna Johnson and Serenity Kemp, along with his siblings Robyn Taylor-Kemp, Mark Taylor, Dejuan Taylor, Sharron Taylor-Sellers and Tina Taylor. He is cherished by his Uncle Kit and Aunt Kathy along with many cousins, nephews, nieces and grandchildren.
Nelson was known for his sense of humor, and willingness to help others. He touched the lives of everyone who knew him, and his presence will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. May his soul rest in peace as we honor his memory and cherished moments we shared with him.
