Navone E. "Tommy" Thomas, 47, of Columbus Ohio, transitioned August 24, 2017 surrounded by family and love ones. Navone was born at Methodist hospital in Brooklyn New York August 8, 1970 to parents Navone Sr. and Rebecca Thomas. As a child he was fearless, outgoing and energetic. He successfully completed training in carpentry and construction with the job corps program.
As a young man Navone travelled the country working in different states when, he arrived in Ohio it felt like home to him and that is where he began to put down roots. After settling in Ohio, he fathered two children, Brooklyn Thomas (4) to mother Keiyunte Catchings and Caleb Thomas (2) to mother Candice Maine. His hobbies included watching sports and playing cards with his buddies. His generosity and humor made people smile even if they didn't want to. He touched many lives and will continue to live in our hearts with fond memories.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother Bessie Singleton and aunt Louise McNair. He is survived by his mother Rebecca Thomas; father Navone Thomas Sr.; sisters Carol Thomas, Latasha Thomas, and Crystal Marshall; his nieces Micaela Hewitt and Jameelah Azeez; Grand-nephew Adrian Rojas; aunt Christine Cole and uncle Richard Singleton III. Host of cousins and many other beloved family and friends. Through blood and through love.
Visitation will be held at Shaw-Davis Funeral Home, 34 W. 2nd Ave. Columbus, OH 43201, at 10 am with the service to follow at 11 am.
