Nancy Ann Jones (Pennell) 81, of Clintonville, Ohio passed away suddenly at home on February 20, 2018. Nancy was born on March 20, 1936 at St. Ann’s Hospital in Columbus Ohio.  She grew up on 6th Avenue in the 'Circles' and attended Columbus North High School.  She settled and raised her family with husband Ralph in Clintonville where she spent her entire adult life.

She was a cheerleader at Columbus North High School, graduating in 1954. Nancy was a Kelly Girl, acquired a real estate license and sold real estate. Ultimately her true joy came from the love and support she gave her family and friends.

Nancy married the love of her life Ralph L Jones on September 15, 1956. Both were children of the Short North/Victorian Village.  They lived a marriage of love, compassion, service and longevity that was an example to their children.

They have one son and two daughters. David Jones (Linda), Tricia Baker (Rick), and Sarah Whitney. She is also survived by a sister Patricia Pennell and brother Ray Pennell, 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 nieces and 5 nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Edith Pennell.

Nancy was a dedicated mother and wife. She had a quick wit, feisty nature, and made endless thoughtful gestures to each and every person that had the pleasure of knowing her. She also donated to many charities and volunteered to teach the illiterate to read. Her life's purpose was caretaker, comedian, matriarch, and "nurse" to her entire family. Nancy loved her dogs, flower gardening and enjoying the menagerie of birds that would visit her backyard feeders. Nancy maintained an active network of lifelong friends dating back to her childhood in the 1930's.

We are all better people for having her in our lives.  She will be missed more than words can convey.
