Mattie “Louise” Myers, born May 17, 1933 passed away November 23, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.
She was the second of five children born to Robert and Eula Wingo. Born during the depression, she learned the value of hard work and of helping other people.
She was a very friendly and outgoing person who did not know a stranger; she was able to love everyone unconditionally without judgement. In her eyes her greatest achievement was her family including her three daughters, Lynda, Jackie and Debbie, as well as her three grandchildren Cory, Zach and Elyse and her great grandson Derrick. She also loved her siblings Bob, Ben, Betty and Jack (Willa).
She had a wonderful personality and an infectious laugh and smile, and was constantly complemented on her “beautiful blue eyes”.
One of the things that she enjoyed the most was helping other people. When living at Stygler Village she was always willing to help those that needed assistance, either by helping them clean, doing laundry or cooking for them.
She was truly a beautiful and kind person both inside and out. She will be missed more than words can ever express.
