Michael Gleason
February 27, 1946 — October 17, 2017
Columbus - Michael A. Gleason, age 71, quietly passed away on October 17, 2017 at the James Cancer Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
Mr. Gleason is survived by his spouse Connie, daughters Kimberly and Lauren, son Todd, stepson Drew, son-in-law Guy, and sister Marilyn. He also leaves behind his two grandsons Dylan and Evan, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Michael served in the United States Navy and was a Vietnam veteran. He retired from Honda Manufacturing and Giant Eagle. Michael enjoyed watching football and baseball and was a huge fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Indians. He was a voracious reader, frequently reading several books at one time. He loved debating politics and was an avid history buff. Michael enjoyed all kinds of music especially the old jazz masters and R&B.
Michael’s wish was that no one mourn his passing, but rather celebrate his life for, as he would say, “I lived a good life”. The family is currently in the process of honoring that wish.
