Michael Dickens

Michael D Dickens passed away on February 15, 2019 at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in The Plains, Ohio.  Born in Athens Ohio on April 4, 1947 to Ben & Margaret Dickens.  He is proceeded in death by his wife, Barbara Dickens.

Mr Dickens is a U.S. Army Veteran and served from 1965-1967, and is a retired truck driver.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to his music and starting up conversations with everyone.

He is survived by his 3 children, Lisa Sontchi, Michele Tirschek and Ben Dickens.  His 6 grandchildren, Chelsey Sledge, Rachel Sontchi, Jordan Dickens, Krista Redus, Kyle Sontchi and Morgan Dickens and his 3 great grandchildren, Bentley Dickens, Madelynn Dickens and Oaklee Sledge.

Services will be at Shaw Davis Funeral Home located at 4341 N. High Street in Columbus, Oh 43214.  Visitation will be held from 6p - 8p on Tuesday, February 19th , with another visitation from 11a -12p on Wednesday, Feb 20th.  Service will begin at Noon followed by a graveside service at Sunset Cemetery.
