Melissa Archer

Melissa Sue Archer, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on June 4, 2020 at Mt. Carmel St. Ann Hospital, Westerville, Ohio. She was born on June 10, 1959 in Circleville, Ohio to parents Melvin E. Archer and Marjorie A. (Miller) Archer Powers.

She graduated from Teays Valley H.S. in 1977, participating in track & field, 4-H, and Grange Youth. Melissa grew up outside of Ashville, Ohio, later moving to Columbus, Ohio to work and live. She enjoyed baking, singing, pets, and being with her family.

She is survived by her sister Deborah of Columbus, Ohio, brother Robert (Marie) of Whitehouse, Ohio, and brother David of Stoutsville, Ohio. In addition, she is survived by her niece Katie (Aaron) Radtke, and nephews Stephen (Christina), Bradley, and Gregory Archer. She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family wishes to acknowledge her devoted friend, Eddie Robertson, for his many years of support and care of Melissa, with thanks and appreciation.

Cremation will be by Shaw-Davis Funeral Home, Columbus, Ohio, and memories and condolences can be posted on their community page. Memorials or donations can be made to Mid-Ohio Food Bank, or a charity of your choice.

A memorial service is planned for a later time.
