Mary Price

Mary Elizabeth Price, age 100, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 23, 2016. She was a longtime member (95 years) of Memorial Baptist Church. Mary grew up in Columbus, Ohio with her dad William Handley and mom, Dora Handley. She had five brothers and two sisters. Her family have filled her life with joy. She married her high school sweetheart, Ray Paul Price in 1935, who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Chuck Pennington. She is survived by her children, Larry, (JoAnn), Elizabeth (Thomas) Burbidge and Carol (Dennis George). She loved spending time with her eight grandsons, Mark (Linda) & Tim (Cheryl) Price; Todd (Amanda) & Eric (Carla) Pennington; Benjamin (Erin), Jonathan (Kayla), Timothy and Matthew (Julie) George. She was blessed with 15 great-grandchildren (Micah, Noah, Eli, Abigail, Isaiah, Sawyer, Finley, Grace, Eve, Zac, Ian, Alana, Miles, Cohen and Nolan). At the age of 5, Mary gave her life to Jesus during a service at Memorial Baptist Church. The Lord got a hold of her life in a mighty way, and from that young age, she committed her life to serve Jesus and tell everyone she knew about her Savior. She taught many Children for Christ classes, Sunday School classes, Women’s Bible Studies, led numerous Vacation Bible Schools, sang in the choir, and served hundreds of meals. Only Heaven will reveal the many who were influenced by her life.

Family will receive friends Friday, May 27 from 4:30-6:30pm at Memorial Baptist Church, 2435 Eakin Rd., Columbus, OH, 43204 with a memorial service to follow at 6:30pm. Burial will be Saturday at 10am Green Lawn Cemetery. Contributions can be given to Memorial Baptist Church, or Journey Church Columbus (journeychurchcolumbus.org).
