Mary Louise Deubner

Mary Louise Deubner passed away October 13, 2022 at the Bear Trail Assisted Living facility in Lewis Center, Ohio. Born in Columbus, Ohio on May 31, 1923, she was 99 years of age. Mary Louise held bachelor’s and master’s degrees in library science, and during her long life, she served as a public and private school librarian, as well as a secretary to her husband William F. Deubner, who preceded her in death by 20 years. She was a charter member of Calvary Bible Church in Clintonville, OH, which was founded by her father, Rev. William E. Ashbrook in 1940.  She is survived by her nephews, William Ashbrook,  Daniel Basye (Ida), and nieces Judy Fast (Steve),  Beth Howard (John), Jane Peterson (Jeffrey), and Jennifer Whitehead (Daniel), as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, October 19, 10-11 a.m. at Calvary Bible Church, 3865 N. High Street, Columbus 43214, and the funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Union Cemetery - Columbus. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Northside Christian School, a ministry dear to Mary Louise’s heart and to which she generously contributed.
