Marti Elizabeth Kimmel, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away Oct. 29, 2020 at the age of 81. She was born Aug. 5, 1939 to the late Richard and Lillian Thompson. She was the second youngest of four siblings, three brothers and one sister.
Marti enjoyed reading and completing her large print word searches. In her prime, she liked to spend her evenings playing Bingo or at the horse track. She worked in the service industry for over 60 years and always made the best peanut butter icing, however, she was never able to master making breakfast. In 1965, she married her husband Glenn and the two were longtime members of the Cherry Creek Church of Christ.
Preceded in death by her husband Glenn Kimmel and her daughter Eva (Jeff) Keeler. Survived by children Glenn II (Kim) Kimmel, Lee Kimmel, 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Marti was known for speaking her mind, but no matter what, she was kind to everyone. Her selfless nature and witty personality are just a couple of reasons she was able to leave such a lasting impression on those who were lucky enough to meet her.
