Marilyn Hunter

Ms. Marilyn Irene Hunter departed this life on March 15, 2021, at Ohio State University Rhodes Hall at the age of 69. She was born on June 25, 1951 in Williamson, West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Jesse T. Hunter Sr. and Elizabeth G. Hunter. She accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and her gift was helping others and doing research of all kinds. Giving loving care to her family was always a priority in her life.

She was a long-time resident of Columbus, Ohio. She belonged to East High School Class of 1969. She worked many years for the Ohio Ethics Commission as an executive assistant. She retired at the age of 62 and spent her time decorating her home, playing Pickleball, riding her CanAm Spyder and exploring nature.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons: Larry Davis Jr. (Zee) of Charlotte NC, and Eric Leon Davis (Bridget), Columbus, Ohio; four sisters: Barbara Williams (Jimmie) of McArthur, Ohio, Rosalie Releford of Urbana Ohio, Brenda Lofton (Kenneth) of Canal Winchester, Ohio, and Karen Scruggs (Steve) of Indianapolis, Indiana; two brothers: Melvin Hunter (Deborah) of Pickerington, Ohio, and Kenneth Hunter (Margaret) Waukegan, Illinois; 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Jesse Thomas Hunter Jr. and brother in-laws Ronnie Releford, and Charles Lofton.

Marilyn will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
