Marianne Maberry went to be with the Lord on Saturday 17, 2016. She was most recently a resident at Columbus Alzheimer’s Care Center. She was born in Columbus and lived here most of her life. She retired to Florida in 1980 and returned in 2008 to be closer to family.
She was born February 14, 1927 and graduated from West High School in 1945. She spent time working as a Telephone Operator and was a long time Board of Elections worker. She attended North Park Church of Christ and had hobbies that included puzzles, cards, and arts and crafts.
She was preceded in death by her husband Norman; sister Helen Potts; brother, Charles Boyer; parents Lily and Charles Boyer; and grandson Chase Maberry.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Grooms and Susan Walker and her son Timothy (Marianna) Maberry. She had 2 grandsons, John (Jamie) Lewis and Shane Walker; 2 granddaughters, Megan and Katie Maberry; 3 great-grandsons, Joshua, Jordan and Jackson Lewis; and a great granddaughter, Abby Maberry.
Friends can visit on Friday, September 23 at Shaw-Davis Funeral Homes, 4341 N. High Street. Calling hours will be from 6 to 7pm, with a memorial service starting at 7. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
