It is with deepest regret that I announce the death of our beloved Maria. After an 8-year battle
with metastatic breast cancer, she passed on the evening of August 13th, 2018 surrounded by close
friends and family.

She is survived by me, her husband; her children, Elena Kay and John-John; her parents, John and
Kay Sprankle; her sister, Mischael McKenna; her husband, Michael; and their sons, Sean, Kellan, Ian
and Brennen; as well as many extended family members and a large community of friends.

Mother, Author, Provocateur, Thorn in my side, Love of my life...my wife.

Elena Kay, John-John and I would like to invite her community to a celebration of her life. A
memorial service and celebration will be held at our home on Saturday, September 8th at 4pm. In
recognition of Maria’s love of festive occasions and food, we will host a gathering replete with
food and spirits after the service and ask that those in attendance bring a favorite dish to share.

Please note that parking will be a challenge and we ask that attendees not park at our home.
Instead, we ask those planning to attend to park in the Olentangy Highlands Neighborhood, which
abuts our property, along the streets Werner Way or Elmers Court and walk to our home.

Our neighbors, Randy and Michele Banks, have graciously offered the convenience of cutting through
their property. The cut through access is located at 842 Werner Way, 43085, MAP
( https://goo.gl/maps/ijQBvcpznMM2 ). Please be respectful of all our neighbors so as not to create
an inconvenience.

We look forward to seeing everyone and celebrating Maria’s story.
