Margareta Frisch

Margareta Elizabeth Frisch passed away on Monday, October 28th at age 74.

Margareta was born to Vsevolod and Yelena in Regensburg, Germany in 1945. She immigrated to America in 1952 and soon settled in Columbus, Ohio. She was a graduate of East High School and The Ohio State University with both a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Arts. She taught in Columbus City Schools for over 30 years, focusing on special education at Briggs High School for the second half of her career. Margareta was also an avid gardener, poet, photographer, animal lover, and supporter of the arts.

She is survived by her siblings Peter Frisch, Mary Barber and Victoria Frisch; by her son Nicholas (Delaney) Smith, and grandchildren Colson, Kenton, Ronan, and Lachlan; and by her son Alex (Katherine) Sauersmith, and grandchild Theodore.

Visitation is on Sunday, November 10 from 2-3pm and funeral service starts at 3pm at The North Broadway United Methodist Church | 48 E N Broadway 43214.
