Lowell Mullins

Lowell Thomas Mullins, 81, of Circleville OH, formerly of Flatwoods KY, passed away after an extended illness on November 3, 2015 at Brown Memorial Home in Circleville, OH.

He was born in Chauncey, WV on October 1, 1934 to Lindsey "Linzy" and Elizabeth "Lizzie" (Hale) Mullins. He was preceded in death by his parents and 15 brothers and sisters. He retired from the US Postal Service in 1989 after 30 years of service and spent his retirement enjoying his books, movies and music and as a historian for his alma mater Hanging Rock High School (Rock Hill) in Ironton, OH.

He is survived by his loving and devoted daughter, Lora (Ralph) Jones II of Circleville and their children Linzy, LaNessa, Lea and Andrew (Jessica Roman) Jones; sons Kevin and Jeff and their children Roxanne, Jeffrey, Nina, Adam, Kerry and Keleigh; 10 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters, 2 brothers, several extended family members and special friends Vicki and Larry Edwards of Washington Court House, OH.

Cremation and arrangements are being provided by Shaw-Davis Funeral Home of Columbus, OH. His ashes will be scattered along the Ohio River where he spent the happiest moments of his youth. No calling hours or service will observed.. Online condolences can be made at www.shaw-davis.com.
