Lon A. Bash went to be with his Heavenly Father on November 9, 2015 after an extended illness. Lon is survived by the love of his life, wife Nancy; son Richard (Sandra) Bash; grandsons Kyle and Adam Bash; brothers Robert (Linda), Jan (Kathy) and Glenn (Malou) Bash; aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews; cousins; and a host of friends. He is also survived by his extended family Marcy (Barry) Conley, Becky Howells, 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, brothers-in-law John (Pat), Robert (Karen) and Jeff Wyatt.  He was preceded in death by his son David Donald Bash and his sister Cheryl Hatfield. Lon is retired from Lennox Industries and The City of Columbus, Division of Police. He was a member or First Baptist Church of Westerville. Lon loved to tell stories and jokes.  He said more songs should be sung at his funeral because the pastor may not be able to come up with many good things to say about him, Lon humor.  He was an avid Buckeyes and Reds fan. Going Home service on Saturday, November 21, 104 S. Spring Rd, Westerville, OH, 12:00 pm.  Dr. Danny Lambert officiating assisted by Pastor Brian Wiseman and Delton Smith. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Friends, if they wish, may express sympathy with a memorial gift to First Baptist Church in Lon’s name, Samaritan’s Purse, or the charity of their choice.  Special thanks to Vitas Hospice and their caring staff.  Arrangements by Shaw-Davis Funeral Homes.
