Linden R. Nuby Jr.

Linden R. Nuby Jr. (affectionately known as Junie to family and friends), age 64, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.

Linden was a lifelong resident of the Deshler Park Community on the southside of Columbus. He was a 1976 graduate of South High School. After graduation from high school, at the age of 17, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. While in the Navy he enjoyed seeing the world, visiting such places as; Taiwan, China, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, and Guam, as well as numerous other places.

After returning from the Navy, he attended Franklin University. He was employed by Westinghouse and Columbus City Schools. He loved to draw and could often be seen at Deshler Park sitting at a bench or under a tree with his sketch pad drawing.

Linden was preceded in death by his parents Linden Sr. and Earnestine Nuby; grandmother Mary C. Hopkins. He is survived by sisters; Dyceria Drakeford, Marvella (Clarence) Dade, Lucretia (Alex) Davis, brother; Mark Nuby; brother in law Aaron Drakeford Sr; neices/nephews; Daron (Taylor), Clarence J., Clinton, Aaron (Kristin), Montae, Leslie, Jeremy, Kennedi, Jaden, Tyler, Sebastian, Kinsley, Braxton, Kiara, Omari, Aidyn, Kaitlyn, Antiwan, Kambry and A'lani; aunt Mazie Peterson and numerous other family and friends.

Graveside service January 26, 2024 from 11:30-12:30 at Forest lawn Memorial Gardens, 5600 E Broad Street. Celebration of life to held at a later date.
