Lewellyn Genung

Lewellyn (Lew) Gene Genung went to be with God and his wife Marty (Deceased Jan 2019) on Tuesday March 22, 2022. Lew was born March 3, 1934 in Beloit, Wisconsin to Leonard and Eva Genung. He graduated in 1957 from the University of Dubuque in lowa and then went on to serve two years in the military. After basic training he married Elizabeth (Marty) Winkler on September 29, 1957 .They moved to California for two years and then to Chicago, Illinois where they had two sons Robert and Roger. ln 1974 they moved to Columbus, Ohio where he worked for Environmental Health and Safety at Ohio State University until he retired in 1999.

Lew is survived by his two sons Robert and Roger Genung, two granddaughters Michele Mulligan and Tamara vonEiff, and three great grandsons Kyle Genung, Liam vonEiff and Colin vonEiff.

A small memorial service is being planned with the date to be determined later.
