Leonard Manuel Wills “Lenny” age 74, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on January 10, 2025 surrounded by loving family.
Lenny was born on January 26, 1950 in Rushville, Indiana, the son of Leonard and Martha Wills, née Bryant. Lenny was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church.
Lenny played basketball, football, and ran track in his school days. He held a high school basketball scoring record and track record for quite sometime. Lenny had quite the love for jazz music and sports and was a huge Notre Dame, Indiana Colts, and Hoosier fan.
Lenny was a dedicated member of the NA program, where he found strength and purpose in sobriety. He worked at Maryhaven for a number of years where he continued his mission with counseling and sponsorship.
Lenny later retired from Caskeys Cleaner where he built relationships with long term customers who would often request his services.
Lenny was a loving father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Leonard and Martha Wills, née Bryant; his brother: Charles W. Warfield III; his sister, Margaret Eileen Wills; his daughters: Valynnda Bennett (Wills), Cassandra Eileen (Begley) Jaramillo-Villatoro, and Jaleesa Morris; and grandsons Silvestre Jaramillo-Begley and Enrique Albin Begley.
Remaining to cherish Lenny’s memory are sons: Henry Begley (Wendy Keck Daugherty), and Dante (Lacreshia) Morris; brother: Levi (Cynthia) Pierce; sister in law: Delores Warfield; previous wife Peggy Mcdougal; grandchildren: Ricardo (Selene) Jaramillo, Nico Villatoro, Tanilo Villatoro, Destanne Keck, Ronnie (Michelle) Keck, Xadrian Begley, Kendrique Begley, Deon Revels, Léyada and Lémar Morris; great grandchildren Evan, Damien and Adael Jaramillo, Hinley and Patience Keck; and a host of nieces and nephews.
