Lee Gordon Swanson passed away on March 12, 2015 after family gathered to say goodbye. He was born on November 12, 1923 in Cleveland, OH to Hugo and Ruth (nee Ahlberg) Swanson. He graduated from Shaker Heights High School and Miami University. Lee served in both WWII (Army 1943-1946) and the Korean War (Navy 1950-1951). He was employed in accounting, purchasing and other executive positions for Cleveland, Galion, and Canton, OH, Louisville, KY, and Glen Falls, NY. Early retirement years for spent in Oldsmar, FL, seeing to Lee’s father who lived to be 100 years old before Lee and wife, Jeanne, moved to Wesley Ridge in Reynoldsburg, OH in 2006. He will be remembered by many for his gentleman’s demeanor, quick wit, 6’4” height especially alongside his cherished, vertically challenged wife, and unselfish devotion to family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Jeanne (Cook) Swanson, grandson Christopher Coons, and great granddaughter Skye Noelle Coons and is survived by sister Verna Turnquist, children Thea (Dave) Coons, Pete (Brenda) Swanson and Kurt (Yoon Choi) Swanson; six grandchildren, Scott (Sarah) Coons, Kevin (Mariah) Coons, Erika Swanson, Alex Swanson, Annika Swanson and Abigail Swanson; and three great grandchildren, Will Coons, Adilee Coons, and Keegan Coons. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Wesley Ridge, Kimes Chapel, 2229 Taylor Park Dr, Reynoldsburg, OH 43068
