Larry Temple

Larry Gordon Temple, 85, passed away on January 4, 2021. Larry was born on August 12, 1935, to Frank and Reah Temple in Columbus, Ohio. He was raised with his two brothers and three sisters, Joanne Bennett, Janet Reinks, Nancy Flood, George Temple, and Roger Temple. Survived by wife, Karen, sons Jeff Kessler (Dixie), Ryan Temple, daughters Jere Corven (Lance), Lori Petry (Greg), & Leigh Temple, 14 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. His family and work were very important to him. After serving in the Army in Korea, he worked several jobs and finally landed in the construction industry.  He started as a laborer in the Klingbeil Company and rose to project manager.  From there he moved to J.R. Trueman and Associates and Red Roof Inn where he rose to be vice president of purchasing.  Later he formed his own painting company. As his health declined, he was a resident at Ashley Manor and Bennington Glen.  Words cannot express our appreciation for the wonderful care he received in these facilities, especially during the COVID pandemic.  They always treated him like they would their own family; loved and appreciated by all who worked with him.  A private memorial service will be held for immediate family on January 13, 2021, at Noon.
