Lamar Curry was known as (Cyc) but that was not him. To family and friends he was Lamar, Markie or Mark. Lamar was born on October 19, 1972 in Columbus, Ohio to Fannie Curry and he was his Mom’s only child.
Lamar was baptized at an early age at Flintridge Missionary Baptist Church, by Pastor George Darling.
Lamar was “Super Smart”, but he didn’t always use it wisley. He loved being around family and he would keep you laughing when in his presence. Lamar was a comedian who never got paid for his skills. You couldn’t help but to “Love him”.
Lamar is preceded in death by his grandmother, Sarah Curry, uncle, Keyotha Curry, (Uncle K.) whom he loved to talk about often, cousin, Shamon Curry and father, David Maynard.
Lamar leaves to cherish his memories his mother of 48 years, Fannie Curry whom he referred to as my “Old Bird or Ms. Darkness”; two sons, Lasheem J. Curry and Larae Thomas Curry whom he “loved” dearly. One grandson, Lakai Curry (whom he called Ox) and daughter, Chadsadie Phillips, aunts; Johnnie Curry, Oletha Curry, Edna Guinn; uncle, Curtis S. Guinn; first cousins, Anthony, Cynthia, Monica, Tika, Curtis and Christopher; special friends; Tony Guinn, Elder Earl Thompson and a host of cousins including Roderick Dye, Nicholas Curry and friends.
Lamar loved people so by choice he was an organ donor. We know that parts of him will live on in others somewhere.
