Kristi Marie Zorn, 45, of Columbus, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2019 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Kristi was born in Akron, on March 2nd, 1974. She graduated from Marysville High School in 1992. Kristi held her state tested nurses assistant certificate for many years. She was very passionate about caring for others and worked as a home health care aid for over 20 years. Kristi is remembered by friends and family as a bright light and free spirit; full of love and positivity. Kristi always showed her endless zest for life, her deep love for her family, and was sure to make every moment count. Over the summer, Kristi was thrilled to be able to see her son Dustin get married. Just before Thanksgiving, she took a road trip to visit her closest friends in North Carolina. She also went on several adventures with her sister, Tera, including a day trip to see Niagara Falls. The day before her passing, Kristi celebrated Christmas on a beautiful sunny day surrounded by family. Kristi’s mantra in life was “Wherever you go, leave a heart print” and she did just that.
Preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Zorn, Uncle Larry Falcone, Aunt Jane Reichman, and best friend, Tim Huffman.
Kristi is survived by her son Dustin (Courtney) Zorn; siblings Tera (Nicholas) Kelner, David (Leisa) Zorn; nephew Zach Zorn, Father Terry (Jane) Zorn, devoted friends Colleen Burks and Jackie Wade, and extended family and friends.
We are profoundly grateful for the care and guidance of the doctors, nurses, and the entire staff at Riverside Hospital for their care and support.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, that those who knew Kristi plant a tree in her name. Memorial contributions can be made in Kristi’s name to The Whetstone Park of Roses.
