Kirby Lance Hill of Newark Ohio, found peace and solace on February 27th, 2024 at the young age of 63.
Kirby was born on November 8th 1960 in Columbus Indiana. Moving to Granville Ohio in his elementary years, he took a liking to the outdoors, honing the skills of mushroom hunting, fishing and searching for arrowheads. Skills he would find useful in the time he spent in Colorado.
Kirby was a graduate of the 1978 class of Granville High School and followed his love for the outdoors by becoming a surveyor for Ball Surveying.
He was a kind-hearted man, well known around Newark for his camouflage pants, walking stick and his ability to make others smile. Kirby acquired nicknames such as K-Dog and Camo Kirby, from close friends. You could find him roaming the city looking for conversation or at home, spending time with his cat, Eclipse.
Kirby was preceded in death by his parents, Jack L and Ruth M. Hill. He is survived by brothers Kevin (Sylvia), Keith (Joanne), and Kendall Hill. Sisters Gail (Rich) Whittle and Leisa (Larry) Ball, several nieces and nephews, friends and his loving cat, Eclipse.
Kirby was loved by many and our family would like to especially thank his friend Peggy Ruton for always helping him in his time of need and being a great support system.
We would also like to thank the Newark Outreach Program for helping Kirby find stability and always welcoming him with open arms.
