Kay Angeline (Bair) Cahall passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on February 9, 2019 at Riverside Methodist Hospital at the age of 78. Kay is dearly remembered by many for her bright smile, laugh, and spirit.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Gene; a brother, Noel (Carol) Bair; nephew Tim (Vanessa) Bair and many others who have been touched by her life.
Kay was born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana with most of her early years in Dayton and Fairborn, Ohio. She graduated from Fairborn High School and the University of Rio Grande, then returned to Fairborn as an elementary teacher. After marrying Gene in 1971 and moving to Columbus, she was a substitute teacher for over 20 years in Grandview Heights. She then loved many little ones in her home-based childcare and continued to touch the lives of children in retirement through family and friends.
There are memories in many homes and other places of carefully and lovingly done counted cross-stitch, knitting, and crochet gifts.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 23rd from 10-11 am with a celebration of life to follow at 11 am at Meadow Park Church, 2425 Bethel Rd, Columbus, OH 43220. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to The FVD Residents’ Benevolent Fund, Friendship Village of Dublin, 6000 Riverside Dr. Dublin, OH 43017 or Meadow Park Church Student Ministries, 2425 Bethel Rd. Columbus, OH 43220.
