Kathleen Newsom

Kathleen Brown Newsom (Kate) 71, of Pickerington Ohio, left us to rejoice with her daughter Yvette and spend eternity with her Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 10:18 p.m.
Her life passion was her family with all that it involved, and her devotion to being Gods faithful servant. Traveling allowed her to meet and help many people. That alone warmed her soul. She relied on his guidance. She listened and trusted him wholeheartedly. Her love and wisdom ran deep. She instilled in her children the true meaning of family and showed what it took to sustain her legacy for generations to come.
Born September 18, 1945 in Brooklyn New York to Joseph Brown and Helen Hopkins. She is survived by her children Barry Newsom (Deanna) of Lakeland FL., Steven Newsom (Gretchen) of Hopewell, OH and Susan Newsom of Columbus, OH. Her grandchildren T.J., Ryan, Chris, Trevor, Brad, Toni, Blake, Michael, Gage, Carter, and many great grands. Her siblings Joseph Brown (Angela) of Smithville, TN, Mark Brown (Julie) of Columbia, SC, Carol Brown Zuniga (Rafael) of Inman, SC, Paul Brown (Jessica) of Myrtle Beach, SC., and 6 nieces and nephews. Her children’s father, Thomas E. Newsom (Phyllis) of Lakeland, FL. Very special friends Peggy, Loretta, Jeff, Wendy, Lori, James and Sandy. Proceeded in death by her daughters, sweet Jenny Leeann and her brave girl Yvette Lynn. Her siblings Dawn, Charles Christian, Darryl, and Helen Scheibelien as well as both parents. Shaw-Davis Funeral Homes & Cremation Service in Columbus Ohio are in charge of her arrangements.
As per her request there will be a celebration of life Thursday, April 13, 2017 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at New Hope Full Gospel Church (Pastor Joseph DiVincenzo) located at 3550 East Pike, Zanesville, OH 43701.
