Katelyn DeLong, age 27, Feb 21, 1989 – June 25, 2016. She is survived by husband Christopher; daughter Karolena Rose (age 2); parents Steven and Pamela Carr; siblings Courtney (David) Rice, Sean (Allison) Carr and Ashley Carr; father-in-law and mother-in-law Brian and Laurie DeLong; brother-in-law Matthew DeLong; sister-in-law Kaitlyn DeLong; and best friend Lyndsay Bricker, as well as many close friends and family members too numerous to mention. She graduated from Thomas Worthington in 2007, and worked as a cosmetologist at First Choice Haircutters in Westerville. Katelyn was a member of Vineyard Columbus and attended VLI. Her kind heart and her love for Christ were evident to everyone who knew her. She was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend; she lived more and loved better in 27 years than many people do in a lifetime. We would like to offer special thanks to the staff at the James OSU Hospital for their wonderful care and dedication to Katelyn. Katelyn felt that God gave her this verse after she became very ill: 1 Peter 5:10 “And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.”She has indeed been restored and made strong again in the presence of her Heavenly Father! Visitation will be held Weds 5-8 pm. at the SHAW-DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, Clintonville Chapel, 4341 North High Street, Columbus, OH 43214. Her funeral service Thursday at 11:00 am VINEYARD COLUMBUS, 6000 Cooper Rd, Westerville, OH. Interment will follow at Blendon Central Cemetery.
