Karen Ann Cochran

September 13, 1948 — March 16, 2025

Karen Ann Cochran (Annabell) born September 13, 1948 in Cleveland, Ohio. Karen is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years Jerry Joe Cochran, her beloved daughter Michele Waldrop Germany, parents Roberta Swindler and Andrew Abraham, sister Laura Moore and grandson Robert Germany.

Survived by her daughter Donna Niemela. Proud grandmother to Megan Niemela (Benny) and Caitlyn (Bradley) Cable, James Germany and Brian Germany. An honored great-grandma (GiGi), a beloved sister, and will be remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Born in Cleveland, she was an avid Browns fan regardless of their winnings. Karen loved her family. She enjoyed family gatherings, shopping, and eating at different restaurants. In her younger years, family would gather for the weekend to play cards.

Karen was a hard worker. She worked for Lazarus drapery department for many years before going into the cleaning business for herself. After retiring from cleaning, she began to babysit, mostly her grandkids, and opened a daycare at her house. That didn’t last too long. She then enjoyed retirement and spent time on weekends with her kids, traveled to different places, even went on a cruise. She loved to shop for the kids and would ask for a hug to sneak the kids some money, they weren’t allowed to tell the parents, but after a while, we knew.

Karen and her daughters were very close. After losing her oldest daughter, Karen lost the will to move forward causing her health to decline even worse than it was. Nine years later, the same month, she is now pain free, gained her wings, dancing in the sky, joining her daughter as we remember her for the love she showed each and everyone of us. We love you and you will be missed by all!
