Joyce (Joy) Read-West

Joyce (Joy) Read-West, born September 6,1946, passed away Sunday June 9, 2018 surrounded by her family at the OSU Wexner center in Columbus, Ohio. She is survived by her brother Dale Read, Daughter Teresa West, Son Brian West, 4 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

Joy loved nothing more than spending time with her family and did so as often as possible. She was also a great advocate for women's rights and even took her 10 year old daughter to the Women's Rights march of '77'. She spent many years driving a taxi and making friends of all walks of life. She never discriminated against anyone for the race, religion, sexual orientation, or economic status. She was open minded, open hearted, and welcomed everybody.
