Joshua Michael Bowers, 35, Columbus died peacefully in the compassionate care of Kobacker House hospice on 11 October, 2015 at 5:09 AM. Joshua was a 1999 graduate of Upper Arlington High School. He participated in the Columbus Symphony Cadet Orchestra, and the Columbus Symphony Youth Orchestra, performing in Banff, Canada; and a European tour of Germany, Austria, and Czechoslovakia. He attended the Ohio State University School of Music. Double majoring in Double Bass performance and music education. He operated a string quartet called “The Sound of Chocolate” for 10 years and played bass for local bands. He was a life member of Riverside United Methodist Church, and an Eagle Scout from Troop 380 at Riverside UMC. Joshua owned and operated Painting Solutions; and Roll ’Em Investments LLC. He is survived by Rebecca Lascola (fiancée), Arabella Hoffman (stepdaughter), and daughter Shiloh, of Columbus. Also surviving are his parents, Harley and Charlotte Bowers; brother Jason (Julie), niece Jenna and nephew Jesse Bowers, all of Columbus. Calling hours will be Sunday, October 18th from 2:15 PM to 3:15 PM followed by a memorial service, at Riverside United Methodist Church, 2701 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington 43221, Rev. David Griebner officiating. He leaves behind countless family and friends who have many fond memories of his life.
