Joseph Marczika

Joseph (Joe) Marczika, age 63, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on January 10, 2024.

Joe was born in Columbus, Ohio on February 23, 1960, at the White Cross Hospital, son of the late Steve and Jo-ann (Belli) Marczika. Joe is preceded in death by his grandparents, father, and mother. Joe is survived by his former wife Gayln Sengel, sons, Nicklaus and Joey Marczika, daughters Stephaini Marczika and Barbra (Myers) Marczika, brothers Mathew and Stevie Marczika, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Joe was a graduate of Grandview Heights High School, class of 78’. Anyone who knew Joe knows that he loved everyone deeply and always made time for others. Joe made friends everywhere he went and never met a stranger. He had a personality that could light up a room and he was unapologetically himself. He enjoyed bowling, softball, and spending time with his friends, family, and children who he was very proud of. He was a diehard Buckeyes and Browns fan who never missed a game and was always determined that this year, “was the Browns year”. There is no doubt that he will continue to cheer them on from the best seats in the stadium, with an endless cooler of Bud Lights, waiting for the Browns to bring home the Championship. Joe will be missed greatly and the memoires of him will continue to bring joy and laughter to others. Until we meet again.

Please join us to celebrate Joe’s life at Gracepoint Sanctuary 3950 Summit View Road, Dublin, OH, 43016 on January 20^th. The showing will be held from 4:30-6:30 pm and a service following. All are welcome to come say goodbye and enjoy food afterwards. Browns gear is encouraged, Go Browns.
