With profound sadness we announce that Jo Lynne Loggains left this world on August 5th, 2021
at the young age of 39. She passed away peacefully at her home in Columbus Ohio. Her family and
friends knew her as Jolynne; she is loved and missed by many people.
Jolynne was born on February 16, 1982 in Newport Arkansas and grew up in West Memphis
Arkansas. She was a very talented classical pianist and played in competitions, which included playing
at Carnegie Hall where she won 1st place in her age group! Jolynne was also an accomplished horse
jumper and competed at several levels. She dreamed of one day owning a small farm with horses and
other animals. She had a huge heart and loved animals of all kinds. Jolynne rescued many cats and
volunteered at a couple different cat rescue groups around Columbus in her free time. To hear her play
piano, or to see her jumping & riding horses, we’re to know that she was truly happy, which was visible
in her beautiful smile. Jolynne had a great sense of humor and loved laughing with her friends and
family. She loved the beach and enjoyed traveling as much as she could. In the last year, she visited
family in Arkansas, relived memories of her youth in Memphis, drove cross-country through the
Colorado Rockies to get to the beach in LA, relaxed in Savannah, and enjoyed the beach in Melbourne
Florida.
Jolynne's professional accomplishments spanned various roles in information technology at
multiple large organizations. She enjoyed working in positions that challenged her and she was very
quick to learn new skills. Jolynne was intelligent, driven, fun, and always thoughtful to others
throughout her career.
Jolynne is survived by her Uncle Commie Loggains and her cousin Stacy Chambliss who both
reside in Arkansas, along with many friends and loved ones here in Columbus. She was preceded in
death by her parents Jerry and JoAnne Loggains (nee Tackett).
A memorial service will be held from 5 PM to 7 PM on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Shaw-Davis
Short North Chapel (34 West 2nd Avenue, Columbus, OH 43201). Family and friends are welcome to
celebrate the life of our beloved Jolynne Loggains.
