John Wesley Williams

1963-2019

John W. Williams of Columbus, Ohio went to be with the Lord on March 30, 2019 after a battle with a long illness. He is preceded in death by father Aurther Williams. John is survived by mother Edna Ogburn, children Maurice (Amber) Thomas, Sherice Thomas, DeJuan Thomas, grandchildren Aujhae Thomas, De’Von Rheubottom Jr., Collin Murphy, Makilah Thomas, brothers Bobby Williams, Leon Fletcher, Aurther Willams Jr, and sister Chrissy Williams.

John worked for Time Warner Cable for many years as well as owning his own mechanic shop “Johnny B Goods” for most of his adult life. Not only did he enjoy working on cars, he would also spend his time playing in pool hall tournaments and bowling in his regular weekend league at Eastland Lanes. John always had his beloved dog Boss in tow everywhere he went, and he was a faithful companion from the day they met. Throughout life John was also married twice, first to Christi Evans, and then to Lisa Walker, who he still maintained a friendship with during his life. Although his family and friends will miss him dearly, they will always remember his great sense of humor and how he was always the life of any party.

A memorial service will be held in his honor on April 13, 2019, with an hour of fellowship beginning at 3:30 pm and a service to follow at 4:30 pm, located at the Shaw-Davis Funeral Home, 34 W 2nd Ave, Columbus, Ohio 43201.
