John Whorton Jr.

Pastor John Robert Whorton Jr, age 70, of Columbus, Ohio went home to be with The Lord on June 3rd, 2019. Born in Dayton, Ohio to parents John Robert Whorton Sr. and mother Betty Neville. He later relocated to Columbus, Ohio where he accepted the call of the Lord and begin to Minster the living word of God for over 40 years.

He is known by his love ones as a strong man of God who was steadfast in his faith and in Jesus Christ. Before his death he dedicated his time to sharing the good news of our savior through his ministry, The Real Truth Ministries and through his online forum The Prophetic Voice. John was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan and in his free time enjoyed watching sports and spending time with his friends of various ministries and support groups.

John is preceded in death by his father John Robert Whorton Sr., mother Betty Harrison, brother George Harrison, sister Willie Bea Harrison and her son Tony Harrison and nephew Marvin Burton.  He leaves in God’s hands his daughter Cynthia Whorton, son John Robert Whorton III (Angel), daughter Valerie Veal (Curtis), brothers David Whorton and Clinton Harrison (GiGi), sister Kim Adams (Joe), grandchildren John Ramon Whorton, Kara Whorton and Curria Veal, and a host of step-children, nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces, family and friends.  Visitation will be Saturday June 15, 2019 at 2:00pm, followed by funeral service at 3:00pm at The Remnant Church, 3171 Schwartz Rd, Columbus, Ohio 43232. Instead of flowers, donations can be made in John’s name to Bill Winston Ministries, a ministry that he supported over the years.
