John Stout, beloved husband, father and friend passed away April 10, 2019 after a hard bout with cancer
John was born August 10, 1939 in Sparta, Illinois to John Lewis and Fern Stout. He attended high school at Campbell Hill, Ill. He furthered his education at Southern Illinois University.
He served in the United Stated Marine Corp where he sustained hearing loss that bothered him the rest of his life.
He was an engineer that working in the mining industry that took him all over the world, He worked in Columbia, South America and Canada.
He had great love of painting . While he painted in all mediums and sizes, his great talent was miniature water color. He sold them in many galleries and are shows. His paintings have been sold to international visitors from Japan, China, Sweden and Mexico, to name a few.
He used the name Hunter as a tribute to the man that his mother married but was killed in World War ll before he could adopt him. His stepfather was the first one to recognize his talent as an artist.
He truly loved life and enjoyed helping others to develop their talents. He loved to teach art. He also loved to build things and garden and combined the two when he build his own sturdy garden shed that he designed himself. He also designed furniture that he and his wife used for their many dwellings in their travels for his work
John was a loving person that wanted to make others happy and loved helping them see the beauty in the world through his paintings. He was a spiritual man that felt that his best friend was Jesus.
John is survived by his wife Janice Pool Stout. He is also survived by his two children, John Allen Stout and Kimberly Stout Humphreys and their spouses. He is also survived by his stepsons Timothy and Christopher Brackney and his spouse. Also his many friends and acquaintances that he had over the years
In accordance with his wishes there will be no formal service and he was cremated.
