John R Porter

John R. Porter 51, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on July 29,2023. Born on September 15,1971

John is preceded in death by, Father John Porter Jr., Grandma Ruby Sutherland, and brother Thomas L. Clark.

He is survived by his mother Patricia Porter, sister Malinda Porter (Boo) and brother John (Lois) Littler.

John leaves behind his oldest son Damian M. Porter, daughter Sarah M. Porter, son Thomas Porter’s daughter Ashley Fannin, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.   

Cars and racing were a big part of John’s life. He was a lifetime Dale Earhart fan. John enjoyed and loved drag racing; he owned a Vega that he took to racetracks all round Ohio. He also loved the show, Pinks All Out. John started competing in the Pinks All Out, he was in the final 8 in the Pinks All Out in Norwalk, Ohio. Whenever his car was broken down and or waiting on parts John Littler would always have a car for John to race. John never wanted to miss a day to go racing. John was an amazing driver. John also loved to play pool and work on vehicles.

John loved his kids more than anything in the world. He was an amazing dad. John also loved his family and friends.

Rest in peace John, watch over us. Know that your kindness and love will always be felt by the lives of those you left behind. Your memory will forever be cherished, and we’ll always feel your spirit by our sides, we love you to the moon and back.
