John Payne Garrett Jr

John Payne Garrett Jr., 77, passed away on Wednesday July 10th at Mount Carmel St Ann’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He had been ill for several weeks.

John was born on December 19, 1946 in Mansfield, Ohio to John P and Anne Garrett.

 John served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War aboard the USS Oriskany. After discharge, he married Nella Wren who preceded him in death.

John worked for the state of Ohio for several years.

He is survived by his sister Brenda Stauffer of Grove City, Ohio, 2 brothers, Michael (Mike) of Houston, Texas, David of Jacksonville, Florida and by a close friend Sue Dye.
