BALLARD
John D. Ballard age 76, of Westerville, Ohio went to be with his Lord after a long struggle with many illnesses surrounded by his family at Grant Hospital on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 11:10am. Born January 15, 1940 in Sophia, W.Va. to John and Virginia (Gray) Ballard who also precede him in death. He loved being outdoors working in his garden, golfing and hunting. Graduate of North H.S in Akron, Oh. Beginning in 1961 served in the Army Reserves. Survived by loving, devoted wife of 54 years Betty Lou (Getreu) Ballard and their children include daughter Diana (Todd) Richardson and two sons, Richard (Mona) Ballard and John (Mishalee) Ballard Jr. Grandchildren Tyler and Kirby Richardson, Brandy, Kaylee, Kenedee, Ronald and great grandchildren Caleb and Christian. Two brothers Jerry and Tommy Ballard. Family will receive friends Saturday, February13, 2016 from 3:00-4:00 pm.
