Joan Schlatter

Joan Schlatter, age 89, died September 26, 2017 in Columbus, Ohio. She was born May 11, 1928, in Stryker, Ohio. She attended Bowling Green State University and taught school in Sylvania, Rockford, Colonel Crawford, and Willard. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women’s Society, 21st Century Club, and the Sewing Club.
Joan is survived by her children Steve (Susan) Schlatter of Muncie, Indiana, Dr. Dana Danhoff of Clearwater, Florida, and Ann Schlatter of Columbus, Ohio; three grandchildren Alyssa (Kraig) Keys, Ryan (Erin) Schlatter, and Tess Schlatter and fiancée Ryan Jenkins; three great-grandchildren Griffin Keys, Reagan and Baylor Schlatter; several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Dale Schlatter, whom she married June 5, 1949; her parents Olen and Frances Bruot Kellermeyer, sisters Ruth (Chuck) Klopfenstein, and Jean (Burnell) Chrisman.
Visitation will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Shaw-Davis Funeral Homes, 4341 North High St. Columbus, Ohio 43214, followed by a memorial service at 4 pm.
