Jean Brenon

July 1, 1927 — March 7, 2023

Columbus

Jean passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 7, 2023 surrounded by family. Alva Jean Whiting Roloson Brenon was born July 1, 1927, the 3rd of 7 children to Bessie and Alvin Roloson in Columbus, Ohio. Graduating in 1945 at Westerville High School, Jean married in 1950 to her husband Donald (Mike) Brenon, deceased, and had 1 daughter Michelle. Jean was a caring, loving, kind, warm hearted mom, wife and friend. Jean worked at American Education Press (weekly readers) and Beacon Insurance. She volunteered at Riverside Hospital, sang in the choir and was a lector at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church and baby sat. Jean loved to travel around the USA with Michelle. She loved Disneyland CA and Walt Disney World FL, Jean's favorite spot was Waikiki, Hawaii (15 times). She loved visiting Rusti the orangutan and idolized Jonathon Von Brana, the Elvis Impressionist who sang to her “Love Me Tender” and gave her a scarf and lots of kisses for 8 years of shows. Jean called JVB “her boy”. The last few years of Jean's life she enjoyed nature, seeing the flowers at Inniswoods Metro Gardens, the Park of Roses, and the animals at the Columbus Zoo. Jean enjoyed a good long life and she will be sadly missed. She is survived by her 1 and only daughter Michelle, who she dearly loved. Four Fur babies (Bella, Baby and Orange kitties) and puppy Milo. She is survived by her sister Esther, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.  Thank-you very much to Kobacker House. My mom, Jean Brenon, my friend, my buddy, my pal. Good times may come and go but memories will last forever. Family will receive friends Tuesday, March 14 from 12-1 pm at SHAW-DAVIS 4341 N HIGH ST COLS. 43214, where funeral service will follow at 1 pm.
