Janet Marie Miller

Janet Miller (Oldfield) age, 75, of Gahanna, Ohio, passed on December 11, 2024. She was born in Marion, Ohio, in 1949. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Mona Oldfield. She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Miller, her longtime partner David Stearns and siblings Dana (Lisa) Oldfield, Carolyn (Jim) Taylor and Cathy (Larry) Murray. Janet was a 1967 graduate of Westerville High School. 

A longtime bartender serving the Columbus, Ohio, bowling community for decades (Amos Lanes, Sawmill Lanes, Sequoia Pro Bowl and Capri Lanes), Jan was easily recognizable by her striking red hair and sharp personality. Most recently she was employed by The Kroger Company at their Lewis Center, Ohio, location. Over the years Jan made many lifelong friends and great memories. She was generous with her time, honest and caring. Jan was an avid baker, a great mother, partner and friend. 

Although she’ll be deeply missed, Jan insisted on a Celebration of Life. To honor her wishes, we will gather with friends and loved ones for a Celebration of Life, 2 p.m. - 6 p.m.,Sunday, January 5, 2025, at Sequoia Pro Bowl, 5501 Sandalwood Blvd, Columbus, Ohio.
