Janet Lawhead

Janet Elaine Lawhead was born in Columbus Ohio on March 25th, 1940 and passed away on April 24th, 2022. She went peacefully to heaven in the arms of her loving family. Janet is survived by her spouse William (Bill) Kenneth Lawhead and children Thomas Lawhead, David Lawhead (Sherri), Jennifer Kazee (Jeffrey) and William Lawhead Jr.; Her grandchildren Ian Lawhead and Bryan Lawhead; Her nephew Shawn Davis; Sisters-in-law Dorothy Lawhead Evans and Laura Lawhead Rutherford; brother-in law John Lawhead; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was loved by many and a wonderful friend to all. She was preceded in death by her parents Cliff and Thelma Wood, and brothers Daniel Davis and James Jones.

She was a good Christian woman who honored her husband and cherished her children and grandchildren just the way she felt her Lord Jesus Christ had taught us. Janet and her husband enjoyed their 63 years together and she wished everyone had the same blessing.

Janet was a 1956 graduate of Central High School.  She worked many years as a cook for Grandview High School; St. Christopher Catholic School; The Ohio School for the Blind and the Upper Arlington School System.

Visitation to be held Saturday April 30th, 2022 from 11 am to 1 pm, with the service to begin at 12pm, at Shaw-Davis Funeral Home located at 4341 North High Street, Clintonville. A graveside service at Maplewood Cemetery located at 4585 Reynoldsburg-New Albany Road, New Albany will be held Monday May 2nd, 2022 at 10:30 am.
