James (Jim) Hewlett

Jim Hewlett passed away on September 16, 2021, in Columbus, OH.   His longtime loving wife, Alice Mae Hewlett (Jacobs) preceded him on December 26th, 2015.  Jim is survived by three children; Diana (Lewis) Hewlett Brenner of Indianapolis, IN; James Alan Hewlett of Columbus, OH and John (Tracy) Hewlett of Columbus, OH.  Jim and Alice have 6 grandchildren; Jacob Evan Brenner, Lewis (Sam) Brenner, Clint Hewlett, Ann Marie Hewlett, Maggie Hewlett and Jack Hewlett.

Jim was born in Painesville, Ohio and was a graduate of Ohio University and a veteran of the US Air Force.  He was an Electrical Engineer, designing military ordinance including the Minuteman and Polaris Missile projects.  He worked for AVCO Corporation and KDI and held several US Patents for his work.
