BIRTH 19 JUL 1960 • Zanesville, Ohio to Rev. Richard Eugene and Theresa Marie Withers Hennessy.
Graduate of Bishop Rosecrans High School, a Lifelong fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns. James served in the United States Army from 1979-1981 and attended the Culinary Arts program at Zane State College. James worked at many restaurants in Zanesville including Pine Pizza, Nicoletti’s, Papa Chuck’s, Phil’s Seafood, Marie Adornetto’s, Eaglesticks and The Renaissance Columbus Downtown Hotel. James died suddenly at OSU Hospital where he was a patient. James was quick with a joke and some very long stories told by a true Irishman.

Survived by Sisters: Sue (Robert) Miller, Janet (Ron) Dorsey, and Ann (Rick) Gooden. Brothers: Mark (Sue) Hennessy, Jerry (Sylvia Jo) Hennessy, Stephen (Angie) Hennessy, Micah Hennessy, and Joe (Teresa) Hennessy. Aunts: Hattie Dixon of Newark, OH, Sally Hedges of Arizona and Jeannette Hennessy of Zanesville, OH and Uncle Jack Hennessy of Lima, OH. He also is survived by 27 nieces and nephews, 35 great nieces and nephews, and a large number of cousins.

James was Pre-Deceased by brothers David Hennessy, Shawn Hennessy, Patrick Hennessy, nephew Stephen Hennessy Jr and his parents Richard and Theresa Hennessy
James wishes were to be cremated but he also wanted a party with family and friends. Memorial services will be held at The VFW 1058 1318 Putnam Ave. on Wednesday October 26, 2016 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Please bring your best stories and memories.
