Jacqueline Thomas

Jacqueline Jane Thomas (Jackie Thomas), 93, of Dublin, Ohio died peacefully on November 25, 2018. Born on December 29, 1924 she was the only child of Margaret and Ralph Given. Jackie graduated from Columbus Central High School in 1942 and Bliss College shortly after. She made her career as a secretary and retired doing what she loved most - caring for animals in the pet-sitting business. Jackie was a long time member of the Dublin Community Church where she served in any capacity that she was called to - her faith was strong and her service to her church and others was grounded in grace and joy. In 2005, Jackie was honored for who she was by receiving the Living Faith Award.  Jackie’s personality was vivacious and bright and she loved to dance and sing the night away. She was loved by her family, friends and especially those of the four legged kind. Jackie is preceded in death by her sons Jeffrey Burks, John Porter and husbands Joseph Burks, Jack Porter and Charles Thomas.  She is survived by her son William Burks, daughters-in-law, many grandchildren and even more great-grandchildren.

There will be visitation on Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Dublin Community Church, 81 W Bridge St, Dublin, OH 43017.  Memorial Service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation made to her church or the ASPCA in Jackie’s memory.
