Ina Louise McCafferty

Ina Louise McCafferty (Currens), 82, known as ‘Lou’, departed this world on 10/11/2024 at 11:05pm from Riverside Methodist Hospital. Lou is preceded in death by her Parents, Rev. John H. & Violet Currens, Brothers Roy, Clarence, Paul and David Currens, Brother-in-law Louis (Bing) Yocke, Sister-in-law Marie Currens and late husband Jack McCafferty. She survived by her daughter Kimberly Hagelstein, son Alan McCafferty, sister Ruth Yocke, brother Michael Currens (Janet), sister-in-law Kay Currens. Son-in-law Bill Hagelstein, daughter-in-law Reatha McCafferty, and grandchildren Johnathan Hagelstein (Meghan Hagelstein), Niccole Lynch (Joey Lynch), Alex McCafferty, and Amanda McCafferty.

 If you were to ask Lou she would say she lived a simple life. But if you ask her family, she was the furthest thing from simple. She was a force to be reckoned with, she rooted for the underdog, and she was a cleverly funny woman. If you had the pleasure of meeting Lou then you would know she knew every Elvis song, watched every Buckeye game, and was a remarkable matriarch to the family. She broke the mold, and was a woman ahead of her time. Lou was never simple. She was legendary.
