Howard Hobson
June 20, 1965 — July 15, 2017
Howard V. Hobson, age 52, passed away July 15, 2017 at home in Groveport, Ohio. Howard was born in Sewickley, PA to the late Howard H. and Margaret (Buehler) Hobson. After growing up near Pittsburgh, PA, Columbus has been Howard’s home of 30 years.
Howard was a talented woodworker with a woodworking degree from Haywood Community College, Waynesville, NC. He loved his garden and always had a project in the works. He also loved his Rhodesian ridgeback dog, Otis.
Howard is survived by his beloved and cherished daughter Deanna Verity; sister Marcia (Mitchell) Bowling; nieces, Cicily Bowling and Tanya (Michael) Policano; nephew Michael (Emily) Bowling, aunts Francis Walter and Helen Trefrey; and many cousins, great nephews and one great niece. He is also survived by many dear, long-time friends.
Howard is preceded in death by his father, Howard H. Hobson. His mother, Margaret (Marge), joined them both October 8, 2017.
Friends of both Howard and Marge may call on Saturday, October 14, between 10:00 – 11:00 am with the service immediately following at 11:00 am at Eastview United Methodist Church, 1045 Ross Rd, Columbus, OH 43227.
