Hester Marion Virgin

1927-2018

Hester Marion Virgin, age 91, passed away on December 10, 2018. Hester was born in New York City on February 2, 1927. She was preceded in death by her parents, Navy Capt. Douglas P and Julia W. Stickley, and was a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Hester was a longtime leader in the Girl Scouts, both at a troop level and on the board. She was active in the Ohio Wildlife Center from its earliest years, and later retired from the Franklin County Republican Headquarters.She is survived by her husband of 64 years, William P. Virgin, Sr., son William P. (Jenny) Virgin, Jr. of Renton, WA, daughter Alison C. Auclair of Columbus, OH, brother Douglas P. (Joan) Stickley of Newport, RI, and six grandchildren.A memorial service is planned for December 18, 2018 at 2 pm at Shaw-Davis Funeral Home, 4341 N High St, Columbus, OH, 43214.
